Middle of May 2009, representatives of the companies A TEC and the Egypt representative company INSTRUCHEM, have jointly participated in the region's first dedicated exhibition for Steel and Cement Industry in Sharjah / United Arab Emirates.
As an outcome of numerous construction activities in this region, the demand for cement in the recent years has considerably increased. For instance, cement consumption per-capita in the GCC stands out at almost twice as much in comparison with the world average. Within the UAE itself, the consumption has increased septuplicate in the last 15 years.
In this scenario, the "Thermal Industry Middle East (T.I.M.E.)" has been established as a platform to support existing and to strengthen new strategic industry suppliers in this pivotal economical region.
In spite of the current worldwide financial crisis contacts, which have been realized during the exhibition, are showing a big potential for investments and expansions, especially in the development of new cement lines. Upgrades and increases in efficiency in existing pyroprocess facilities, where A TEC is already well known for its special turn-key solutions. were of big interest for visiting companies.
In line with various discussions, it has been found out that potential investors, which are initially not established in the cement sector, do not posses adequate know-how in process technologies. Thanks to the A TEC's global experience in consulting projects, process engineering and project management can be regarded as a great opportunity in order to strengthen our position in this high developed region.
