A TEC were present at the IEEE 2009 conference recently held in Palm Springs, California. This annual conference is generally accepted as the main conference for cement producers and suppliers for USA and Canada.
We hosted an exhibition stand and a "Suite" where participants of the conference were able to relax over food and drink until the early hours of each morning.
A paper was presented on the practical implementation of Alternative Fuels. This paper led the charge of 4 similar papers, focusing on the issues of combusting alternative fuels and the various process technologies available to do this. However, A TEC was the only one to address the effects on emissions in some detail, which we consider a critical issue when implementing such projects, since permitting authorities is becoming increasingly strict on a variety of emissions.
